Ingredients
- instant coffee
- granulated sugar
- hot water
- milk of your choice (hot or cold, whichever you prefer)
- Coffee. If you are looking for organic beans that whip up well and offer a clean taste use Mount Hagen Organic Instant Coffee. I like this because it is light and mild with a touch of sweetness.
- Milk. I always go with Fairlife milk, it’s proven and tested in all my ice cream and drink recipes. It never fails me! Fairlife has a creamy texture and high protein content making it the perfect match for Dalgona coffee.

How to make Dalgona Coffee
- In a small bowl add the instant coffee, sugar, and hot water, and whisk until it gets thick and foamy. With an electric mixer, it will take about 3 minutes. If you whisk by hand, it will take about 8-10 minutes.
- Once it is all thick and foamy add it to a glass of milk of your choice.
- Stir until well combined, or you can leave a little foamy layer.
- You can drink this with hot or cold milk.

Tips On Dalgona Coffee
- Use instant coffee: I’ve tested it myself. Instant coffee works way better than brewed coffee in achieving the perfect frothy consistency. The granules make whipping so much easier and give it that signature texture.
- Whisk patiently: I’ve tried both a hand whisk and a mixer. While the mixer is way faster, whisking by hand is surprisingly satisfying. It’s a bit of an arm workout, but the fluffy, cloud-like texture is totally worth it.

What to serve with Dalgona Coffee
Its creamy, slightly sweet flavor complements buttery pastries like croissants, scones, or shortbread cookies. For a savory twist, enjoy it alongside a breakfast spread with avocado toast or a simple omelet.
If you’re craving something sweet, pair it with chocolate desserts, cinnamon rolls, or even a slice of tiramisu to enhance its coffee-rich notes.
